Blackpool Football Club Formed in 1889. Blackpool's newly-rebuilt Bloomfield Road ground is a stadium ready for the future. In 2005 it played host to three Group A games in the UEFA European Women's Championship. The official Blackpool Football Supporters Club is BSA, the Blackpool Supporters Assocoation. Our committee is elected by its members. Blackpool FC fully support our Association, and through our fund raising efforts, we put funds directly back into the club by sponsoring matches and players.
Blackpool North Shore Golf Club is a private members club set in 98 acres, situated 500 yards from the North Promenade and 2 miles from the town centre of Blackpool. Blackpool is the premier English resort on the North West Coast of England. The course is a links type course with rolling fairways and good-sized greens. Its traditional and well-furnished Club House offers magnificent views of the Lake District, the Forest of Bowland, Bleasdale Fells and the Pennine Hill range.
We are a high-achieving and friendly College, serving Blackpool and the whole of the Fylde Coast. We offer excellent academic and applied programmes to a wide range of students aged between 16 and 19. Since we became a Sixth Form College in 1988, we have gone from strength to strength and now have over 1900 students on roll. In June 2009, the College completed the second stage of a £15 million development programme, adding to our fantastic facilities and learning environment.

Blackpool Tower opened on 14th May 1894, with the aquarium existing as a stand a lone attraction from the late 1870's. The tower is 518ft 9inches tall, with the walk of faith at 380ft from street level. The Tower alone contains 2,493 tons of steel and 93 tons of cast iron. The building at the base contains 985 tons of steel and 259 tons of cast iron. The Tower has a viewing platform at 380ft above the promenade and is reached by a lift or if you are a maintanance worker by 536 steps! Not for the feint hearted is the 'Walk of Faith' glass floor, a two inch clear panel that looks straight down to the Promenade below. The 'Walk of Faith' glass floor panel was placed at the Tower top in 1998.
